This is what the LORD says: "Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight, declares the LORD.
Jeremiah 9:23-24 NKJV
We have seen many great leaders who boasted about their power and majesty on this earth, they lived the luxurious lives and got all things which they desired but now all of them are gone. Some people had wisdom and wrote many books,sayings and proverbs in their life time but at the end of the day that wisdom remained in those books but they are also gone. Some women were the queens of beauty in their days but now all those days are gone, and some of them died but others still living and now we call them grands mommies and the beauty they had in their youth hood its just a story to tell now.
May be you have seen many people who are boasting about different talents, things, opportunities, backgrounds, carrier and so on. In the world this kind of behavior is normal because many people wants to be known that they have something in them. This may make you too to have a hidden desire in you, that when you will accomplish somethings in life you will have a good reason to boast yourself and show people that you are also among of the best.
You want people to know you, you want one day people to praise you for what you have done and become in life. This feeling faces all of us, and many who permitted it to take control over their lives at the end of the day they found themselves that they were forced to do even things which were against God's will to maintain their status.
This morning, God sent me to tell you that," You don't need to boast about world things, riches, titles, beauty, wisdom, talents, and so on; because all those things are subjected to limitations, they have expiration dates, they are perishable in nature but here is the big time point! You need to boast about this, you have understanding of knowing God, you know that His the one and only true God and He does everything in the right way and He loves you unconditional.
If you will know God you will have peace, you won't fear about the future. If you know that He sent His son on this earth for our redemption, that we may no longer live in sin and death but live victorious life in Christ Jesus, you will be forgiven. Jesus is something to boast about, Jesus is the one who we can boldly say without Him we will die. Change your mind, stop boasting about anything else but start boasting about Jesus today.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord am asking that you may help me to delight to nothing else but You Jesus my Lord and my God. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
