WEEDING CLOTHES

“But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. He asked, ‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless.

“Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

“For many are invited, but few are chosen.”

Matthew 22:11-14 NIV

Jesus told a story of a King who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. He invited people who refused his invitation which made him to send his servants to got to street corners and invite everyone they will find. So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all people they could find, the bad as well as the good, and wedding hall was filled with guests.(Mathew 22:8-10)

Later the king noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. He asked how did he get in without clothes, but the man was speechless. Then the king commanded his servants to tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

All were invited but one of them had no wedding clothes, he was in the wedding but he looked different from others. One day there will be a wedding in heaven between the Son of God and His victorious Church in this world. No one who will not have the wedding clothes will be allowed to attend that ceremony; and a person who will lack it will be thrown outside into darkness.

This morning, God wants you to know that you need to prepare your wedding cloth before it is too late. The wedding cloth which is being talked about here is pure and blameless life before God. To live holy life, a godly life in this wicked generation. To wash yourself in the blood of the lamb that you may be pure as snow waiting for the day of His coming.

To stay away from every sin and every wrong doing which may pollute your wedding clothes. The Lord is coming soon to rapture His church for the weeding of the Lamb. The question to ask yourself is that are you ready for that rapture? Are you living a holy and blameless life before God? when He comes will you be among of the few chosen ones? Prepare the way for the Lord in your life.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I'm asking that You may help me live a holy life worth of my calling in You. Give me strength to overcome sin and every kind of temptation which may lead me astray from You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
