TRY PRAYER
Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.
James 5:13-15 NIV
I learnt that it is so difficult to try to change someone without the help of God. You may spend days, weeks and years trying to fix the life of somebody and wind up with nothing. In some occasions it is also difficult to change some of our behaviors and attitudes without the help of God.
Many preachers have been preaching that prayers change things, prayers bring new beginnings and restore what was lost. Have you ever tried this free given means to approach the mercy seat of God? In the Bible all powerful men and women of God who did great and mighty things in their lives had the life of prayer.
They prayed and God listened, believed on what they were praying and the impact was so great than the normal human mind could articulate. There is power in prayer, there is healing in prayer, there is freedom in prayer. God intended His people to draw His power through prayer; that's why when we pray, we get to be renewed in our spirits.
This morning, God wants you to pray for everything in your life. If there is a person who you need to see changed in some areas of his/her life; start praying for those changes to take place. Pray for yourself that you may live the godly life as the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ commanded.
Pray for your boss, pray for your neighbor, pray for your spouse, pray for your children. Pray for your city, pray for your country. Pray for your Pastor and don't forget to pray for your family and all of those who are in need.
****Morning Prayer****
Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....
Jehovah God, I thank You for your word. Lord I'm asking that You may teach me how I am supposed to pray for each and everything in my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
