SERVANT-MESSIAH

The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God, as it is written in Isaiah the prophet:

“I will send my messenger ahead of you,

    who will prepare your way”“a voice of one calling in the wilderness,

‘Prepare the way for the Lord,

    make straight paths for him.’”

Mark 1:1-3 NIV

The Gospel of Mark was written by a closer associate of Peter who was called John Mark. He wrote to encourage his readers through suffering and persecution, Mark presents Jesus as the Servant-Messiah and Son of God who died as a ransom for sinners.

Mark's Gospel emphasizes more what Jesus did than what he said. Mark moves quickly from one episode in Jesus' life and ministry to another, often using the adverb ''immediately''. (Zondervan NIV STUDY BIBLE)

Jesus is seen as the servant-Messiah who came to take people from their sins but yet to serve them with all humility. Jesus felt compassion on people and decided to heal them and do miracles for as many as who believed. Here Jesus is seen in action performing things which was not common in people of those days even up to now. 

This morning, God wants you to know that His Son Jesus is still in action up to this day. I used to go to tradition Christians churches; where Jesus was just being red in the Scriptures. After a simple sermon of saying what He did; the service turned to normal traditions of my religion. Jesus was seen as a hero who no longer exist.

People went to the house of God and returned with their problems and sicknesses. Many took naps in the middle of the services because of the lack of power and presence of God Holy Spirit. People who worship in those tradition Churches; don't understand active Jesus who is found in the book of Mark.

Jesus is still active! Performing signs, miracles and wonders. Jesus still heals and set people free from demons and every kind of addiction. He still deliver and mend the broken hearted. If you are still in the dark, you need to go and find a Holy Ghost filled Church in your local area and you will get to meet the active Jesus.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I'm asking that You may reveal yourself as Servant-Messiah in my life. That I may be able to see your hand in action all the days of my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
