GROWTH

So we should be finished with the beginning lessons about Christ. We should not have to keep going back to where we started. We began our new life by turning away from the evil we did in the past and by believing in God. That’s when we were taught about baptisms, laying hands on people, the resurrection of those who have died, and the final judgment. Now we need to go forward to more mature teaching.

Hebrews 6:1-2 ERV

The joy of any parents is to see their child grow. They will be happy to see as the days go on; their child also grow up. Grow up in terms of physical and mental capabilities. They will like to see the child respond to every season of development in life. Starting from crawling, standing, walking, speaking, and so on.

It is the same for us who are in Christ Jesus. Our Heavenly Father rejoice to see us grow in Him and mature that He may trust us with greater callings and gifts. As we know no Father will trust his child with car keys before he/she full matured to drive that particular car. It is the same with our Lord, He will not trust you with any ministry; until He is sure you will lead that ministry in the right direction.

Many have stayed in the church for years, attending every service and fellowship, but they are still stagnant in their growth in the Lord. They are still hanging around in the beginning lessons about Christ. They still get upset with the things which upset them 5 years ago; asking same questions which they used to ask 10 years ago. And doing the same mistakes which they did in their immature stages in Christ Jesus.

This morning, God wants you to start growing by leaving your old past and move forward to more mature teachings. God wants you to start digging in His word; that you may understand Him in the deeper dimensions. He wants you to understand more about His love and grace that you may walk in them.

He wants you to forsake your old fear and start walking bold in the Lord knowing your life is in His hands. He wants you to start walking in love, forgiving and letting go those who hurt you 5 years ago and make a room for love not hate. He wants you to start speaking the words of faith and not doubts. He wants you to start seeking His face and listening to His voice and not depending on people to hear for you.

You have the work to do, you have your own life to change. Start it early in the morning with faith, walk knowing that you were born for a purpose. Start seeking that purpose by prayer and fasting. Rebuke the spirit of self pity and be a man and a woman who God created you to be.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord Jesus am asking that You may help me grow from this day forward. Let me experience the freedom of knowing the truth and walk in your love. Help me to be a man/woman who you called me to be for your own glory. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
