THE MESSAGE OF THE CROSS
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
1 Corinthians 1:18 NIV
The cross is the sign of victory over sin. It is the assurance that there is salvation in the name of Jesus. There is power on the cross of Calvary, the power of setting captives free, heal the broken hearted and forgiveness of sins to all who obey.
The message of the cross has been preached since the time Jesus came out from the grave. It has been touching people, changing the nations and lives of individuals. It comes with assurance that we have been forgiven and God will not count anything against us the moment we repent all of our sins.
This message encourage who fall down that they can get up again, and continue with the journey of salvation. The message calls everyone to come and see what God can do in a man when he chose to obey Him. It is the cross which gave forth our salvation; our Lord was hanged there that we may be called the sons and daughter of Most High God.
This morning, God wants you to know that there is still power in the cross of Calvary. When we go and surrender our trials and tribulations before the cross; there is power which will come and makes us whole. The devil run when he hears about the cross; he knows it was the place where he was totally defeated.
Demons can't stand the cross of Jesus, they thought it was the best punishment for the Lord; but it came to turn to be the eternal stumbling block for them. It is the symbol of victory over this world, the blood which was shed on that old rugged Cross still speaks better things than that of Abel. Thank You Jesus for dying on the Cross for our salvation.
****Morning Prayer****
Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I'm asking that You may forgive me the time I neglected the message of the Cross. Lord I'm asking that You may help me to remember that it was the Cross which gave me the freedom which I now enjoy; that I may live according to your commandments. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
