WAKE UP
The people in Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica. They were so glad to hear the message Paul told them. They studied the Scriptures every day to make sure that what they heard was really true.
Acts 17:11 ERV
One of the thing which I have come to notice in the Church of Jesus Christ is that we have many spoon feeding Christians. We have people who just wait for Pastors to prepare everything for them; that they may go to listen to beautiful sermons on Sunday mornings.
We have people who just want to be prayed for their problems and blessings; but they have no part in paying the price to get them. We have people who are good in blaming ministries of the Gospel when they see any wrong doing; but they don't want to spend quality time in prayers for them.
We have what I call give me Christians, who do not want to open their hands to give back. They like to hear sermons which will make them feel good, but they don't want to hear things which will make them grow. They don't want to understand the whole truth because they are things which they don't to let them go just yet.
This morning, God wants you to wake up and start studying Scriptures that you may get to know the whole truth. If you will know the truth, the truth shall set you free. Don't just believe everything that preachers say on the TV; but you should learn to examine what you hear if it is according to what the Bible says.
Learn to test every spirit, if it is from God or just the spirit of antichrist. Not all revelations which people claim to have are from the Father, some of them are just cleverly inverted by people. Study the Scriptures everyday if you want to grow and mature in the Lord. You need to pay the price, if you want to see the good results of your faith in Jesus Christ.
****Morning Prayer****
Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord build in me a desire to study Scriptures, that I may get to understand the whole truth which is found in your Word. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
