Morning with Ebenezer

SERVING HEART

After washing their feet, he put on his robe again and sat down and asked, “Do you understand what I was doing? You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and you are right, because that’s what I am.And since I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other’s feet.I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you.

John 13:12-15 NLT

Jesus Christ the Son of God was a servant leader. He did everything with examples, when he taught about fasting, He did it for forty days and nights without food before He started his ministry in Luke chapter 4. When we come to prayer, He was every night praying in the Mount of Olives then He came back to his disciples in the morning, Mark 6:45-46.

He washed the feet of his disciples and told them to do the same to others when he will be gone. He gave them an example to follow. Jesus had a serving heart, He passed that heart to his disciples and his disciples passed it to the first church. The first Church passed it to generation of those days and later which came down to us.

One very  first which happened to any Born again Christian when he gave his life to the Lord. The desire of serving others increased in him. This was the indication that you had entered in the kingdom of servants Kings and Queens and not Bosses. This was the sign that the Lord was now in control! He is the Son of God and God but he chose to be a normal man that He may save me and you from our sins. He was a servant leader, and that's why when we receive him, the desire of serving others increases.

This morning, God wants you to develop the attitude of serving others. There is much joy in serving others than being served, Acts 20;35. When you put other people needs first, God in heaven will meet your needs first as well. Some of us have experienced guilty when we see others serve but we did not know why? That guilty was a call in you that you need also to start serving others.

You do not need a pulpit in order that you can serve? You don't need a microphone or any music instrument for service. What you need is the serving heart, to be willing to serve others even if no one sees you or reward you for anything. The church need your service, the world need your love that it can see Christ who is in you. The time is now, start serving others today!

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I'm asking that You may create in me a serving heart, that I may be able to serve others in love and purity. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
