Morning with Ebenezer

TOTAL VICTORY

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:57-58 NKJV

Paul the Apostle in his second letter to Timothy, he encouraged him to endure hardships with them like a good soldier of Christ Jesus, 2 Tim 2:3. Why did Paul used the example of a soldier in reference to our salvation? He used it because our walk with God is a battle! And it takes a soldier to withstand it and conquer the enemy. There is a battle between the Spirit and flesh, while the Spirit leads us to the will of God, the flesh always tries to take us away from his will.

God is the one who gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the one who gives us strength to say no to sin and obey his will. He is the one who persuade us to believe this glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. He is the one who gives us hope that his son will come again to take a victorious church, the pure, and spotless bride which is made ready to receive her bridegroom.

In our walk with God, sometimes things can get tough. There are those times which the heaven seems like a brass, every time you pray there is no answer to your petitions. There are those times which you find yourself passing through the valley of shadow of death; one sickness after another, temptation after temptation, loosing your loved ones and sometimes even your sources of income.

This morning, I want to encourage you that there is total victory in Jesus Christ. I want you to know  that you are a soldier, and this world is a battle field. You need to use the Word of God as the guide to win this war of life,  the blood of Jesus as the suit which will protect you from all the weapons of the enemy. Use the Name of Jesus as the main weapon to destroy all strong holds of the enemy in your life; and ask the Holy Spirit to help you in every single stage till the appearance of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The war had already won for you there on the old rugged Cross on Golgotha's. You need to continue walking in that victory; while knowing in your heart that Satan is nothing but a defeated foe before God and the church of Christ in this world. You a soldier of Christ, Jesus has done his part, he counts on you to do yours as his faithful soldier and follower in this life.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I'm asking that You may give me strength to be a faithful and steadfast soldier in your Kingdom. Help me to fight the good fight of faith till the day of your second coming. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
