DO IT TODAY

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Matthew 7:7-8 NKJV

Many of us have short term goals and long time ones. Short term goals are the ones which you can achieve in 12 months or less, for example take a new class, buy a new television, or apply for a job. Long term goals are such as graduate from college, save for retirement or start your own business. 

Every the beginning of the year we set our goals in order, and we trust God to help us fulfill them. If you will recall properly, you had some things you wanted to do this year. The question comes, have you done any of them? Or you still think you will start doing them tomorrow.

Sometimes us who are in Christ Jesus tend to be blinded by concept of faith. We think if we have faith in Christ Jesus all things will just work for good even if we don't get out there and do the works. If you have dirty clothes in your house, they will remain to be dirty until you stand up and wash them. There are some things the world is doing better than us; because they know that only when you combine faith and work is where you get the results you need.

This morning, I want to encourage you to stand up start fulfilling your goals in life. You need to start doing them today, don't wait for tomorrow. Anything you put your mind on it, you can do it. Our Lord Jesus Christ said, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. It is not enough to ask God for good life, you need to seek it by working hard; and knock to new doors of opportunities if previous doors didn't open for you.

No one will come and change your life for you. It has to be you to change it. Don't wait for an Angel to come down from heaven and make you go to work on time because that is your responsibility. The Bible says in Psalm 115:16, "The highest heavens belong to the LORD, but the earth he has given to mankind." You have been given this earth, there are some things that God expect you to do and you supposed to do them. He has given you good healthy and strength in Him, use it to do His will and purpose over your life.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, help me to do everything I'm needed to do in each day of my life. Give me courage to accept my responsibility and fulfill all of my duties. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
