Morning with Ebenezer

AT HIS WORD

When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish.”

“Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.” And this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear! A shout for help brought their partners in the other boat, and soon both boats were filled with fish and on the verge of sinking.

Luke 5:4-7 NLT

Maybe you have tried some things in life and you didn't succeed. You have tried over and over again and the results seem to be the same.  Peter and his friends tried all night to catch some fishes but they didn't catch a thing. They decided to start washing their nets and call it a day.

In a course of doing that, the Lord step in the scene. He asked Simon who was known as Peter, to go out where it is deeper, and let down their nets to catch some fish. Simon obeyed the word of the Lord and he let the nets down again. Luke says, and this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear.

It is possible God has been speaking to you to do again some things that you once failed. Maybe you started a business that brought forth no profit and you decided to leave it. Some went to school and things were tight and they said to themselves maybe school was not for them. Some used to live somewhere and the Lord is speaking to you to go back in that place and that your blessings are there right now.

This morning, I want to encourage you to obey the voice of the Lord. You may ask yourself how I will know if this is the voice of the Lord. Sometimes God speaks to us through certain ideas that won't leave us alone. The same idea will keep coming over and over again to your mind and spirit, telling you the same thing. It is the voice of the Lord telling you to do something and when you obey it; the Lord Jesus will be with you.

If you obey the Lord, He will bless you and all the people in your circle of influence will know. He will open doors that once didn't open, and give you favor that no man can give. You won't fail again as you did before, you will succeed in what you do because God will be with you.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, help me to obey your voice when you talk to me. Teach me your ways that I may walk in your will and purpose for my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
