Morning with Ebenezer

HE WHO PROMISED IS FAITHFUL

After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ aide: “Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them—to the Israelites.  I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses.

Joshua 1:1-3 NIV

It reached a time Moses the servant of the Lord died, and God ordered Joshua son of Nun, Moses helper: to get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land He was about to give to the children of Israel, as He had promised Moses.

The Lord said, "I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses." God promised Joshua that no one will be able to stand against him all the days of his life. As the way He was with Moses, He was with Joshua. He fulfilled the promise He made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; that He will give their descendants the land of Israel, which is the present day State of Israel.

This shows how God is faithful to His promise, as prophet Samuel says, "He who is the Glory of Israel does not lie or change his mind; for he is not a human being, that he should change his mind, 1 Samuel 15:2. He fulfilled all the promises He made to His people; He fulfilled the promise of Messiah and He will fulfill the promise He made for His church. And in the fullness of time Jesus will come to take His blameless and spotless Church out of this world.

This morning, I want you to know that whatever God has promised you in the Scriptures and in your personal life will one day come to pass. If you can trust your boss, who said if you work for him, he will pay you and he did. How much more our God? If He says He will bless you and your family for your sake; then there no need for you to doubt Him.

You need to have faith in God. You need to learn to believe what the word of God says and put it to practices. There is no shortcut of getting the blessings of God; you need to believe His word and walk in it. Meditate it day and night and live the life of prayers. If you will go near to God then He will come near to you; and He will reveal Himself to you in the way that you haven't heard or seen before.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I'm asking that You may help to wait for your promises over my life. Give me patience to wait for You that I may not be tempted to take shortcuts that are not from You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
