Morning with Ebenezer

MAKE A DECISION

Then God said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh? Why did she say ‘Can an old woman like me have a baby?’ Is anything too hard for God? Next year, just as I told you, I will certainly see to it that Sarah has a son.”

Genesis 18:13-14 TLB

I know that many of us are familiar with the words that, “everything is possible with God”. We sing these words and recall the verses that speak about this message every now and then. In the reality many of us fail to apply these words in our walk with the Lord. We don't really believe that God can take us from every kind of situation and hence we don't believe Him in everything. (Matthew 19:26, Mark 9:23, Mark 10:27, Luke 1:37, Luke 18:27, Matthew 17:20, Genesis 18:14, Jeremiah 32:17)

Some believe God can give them spiritual gifts such as speaking in tongues, prophecy and others gift in the Church; but they don't believe that God is willing and able to meet their physical needs. We are more willing to go to God and ask for healing in our physical bodies; but it is sometimes difficult for us to go and ask Him to bless us in our finances and show us the ways to prosper financially.

We have many Christians who have faith in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob but they are broke. They have faith in the God of covenants, but they live in hardships and they are laughing stock in their communities. They believe that God blessed Jacob who later came to be called Israel (Genesis 32:26); but they don't believe God will bless them and take them out from poverty, diseases and ignorance.

This morning, I just want you to know that there is nothing too hard for God. It does not matter what kind of life you had before you knew the Lord; and what kind of background you came from. But now you know Him, you are no longer living in sin and the blood of Jesus has cleansed you from all unrighteousness; so this is a time for you to shine both in spirit and flesh.

This is a time for you to refuse to continue walking in the curses of your ancestors. If they were poor, they worshiped idols or they had many wives and a lot of children it was them; but you have the room to make a difference. You have a room to start afresh in the Lord Jesus Christ; the decision is yours! Do you still need to carry the same identity that your fore fathers had? Or you want to have a new identity in the Lord Jesus Christ? Make a decision today!

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I'm asking that You may bless me today. I refuse to continue walking under the curses of my ancestors. I'm in a new creature in You, I'm a born again Christian. Help me to live the life of power and prosperity in Christ My Lord. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
