Morning with Ebenezer

STRUGGLING WITH THE SAME SIN?

We have all these great people around us as examples. Their lives tell us what faith means. So we, too, should run the race that is before us and never quit. We should remove from our lives anything that would slow us down and the sin that so often makes us fall. We must never stop looking to Jesus. He is the leader of our faith, and he is the one who makes our faith complete. He suffered death on a cross. But he accepted the shame of the cross as if it were nothing because of the joy he could see waiting for him. And now he is sitting at the right side of God’s throne.

Hebrews 12:1-12 ERV

There is something in your life that keeps on making you fall. There is a sin that keeps on troubling you every day and is one of the reasons that makes you to go before the Father asking for His mercy and grace. There are those things which slow us down in our walk with the Lord and sometimes they can be friends or even certain hobbies.

The Bible says that we have great people around us as examples; these are people who entered in the faith before us and walked with the Lord for the rest of our lives. Some of these people died but others we read them in the Bible but some are still alive until this day and are good examples on how a Christian man or woman should behave.

We have been encouraged to run the race of faith before us and never give up; while removing from our lives anything that would slow us down and the sin that so often makes us fall. This sin cannot be removed by our physical strength or intelligence. We need something powerful, someone who is powerful enough to set us free from the bondage of those kinds of sins.

This morning, I just want to encourage you to continue looking on Jesus. He is the author and finisher of our faith, and He is the one who makes our faith complete. If you have fallen down, I'm here to tell you that Jesus can lift you up. If you are still blinded by sin and you can't see even one step ahead of you; I'm here to tell you that His word is the lamp to your feet and a light to your path.

There is a room for repentance in Christ Jesus; if you have gone astray don’t hesitate to go to Him and ask for His forgiveness. Ask Him to give you strength to overcome that kind of sin; read what the Bible says about that sin and how you can overcome it in prayers. Don't quit praying; don't give up in your fight. The battle is not yours but the Lord's what you need to do is to trust Him and surrender everything completely to Him.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, help me to overcome the sin of (                        ). Help me to continue with my fight against sin knowing that I will be rewarded in the Kingdom of your Father. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
