Morning with Ebenezer

DON'T LOSE HEART

I have told you all this so that you will have peace of heart and mind. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows; but cheer up, for I have overcome the world.”

John 16:33 TLB

Salvation is a battle, the Bible says that God has rescued us from the one who rules in the kingdom of darkness, and He has brought us into the Kingdom of His dear Son, Colossians 1:13. We were rescued from the hands of enemy; Jesus set us free and made us to be sons and daughters in His Kingdom.

This does not mean that the enemy won't fight back; the enemy will do everything in his power to take us back to his kingdom. That's why we have people who once received Christ as their Lord and Savior; but went back in their old habits because the enemy was waging war to take them back in his kingdom. Sometimes we tend to blame these people instead of praying for them; we need to know that without standing with Christ no one will be able to prevail against the enemy by his/her own strength.

Sometimes the enemy comes like in a flood; he brings all kinds of problems at the same time. He may hit you financial while he brings certain diseases in your family and in the mean time brings the spirit of misunderstanding between you and your loved ones. While you are trying to solve these, you may be facing rejection in the place of your work; and this may make you to be confused and don't know what do next.

This morning, I just want to encourage you that if the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. The enemy may cleverly arrange all the bad things against you but the Spirit of the Lord will help you overcome all and continue walking in the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Lord will remind you these words of Apostle Paul to Corinthians: These troubles and sufferings of ours are, after all, quite small and won't last very long. Yet this short time of distress will result in God's richest blessing upon us forever and ever. So we do not look at what we can see right now, the troubles all around us, but we look forward to the joys in heaven which we have not yet seen. The troubles will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever. (2 Corinthians 4:16-18, TLB)

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, help me that I may not lose heart but continue cheerful in the our journey of salvation. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
