PRAYING FOR SAINTS

Pray all the time. Ask God for anything in line with the Holy Spirit’s wishes. Plead with him, reminding him of your needs, and keep praying earnestly for all Christians everywhere.

Ephesians 6:18 TLB

Prayer is a back-borne of the Church of Jesus Christ in this world. The Bible says the Lord Himself in the days of His flesh was the man of prayer and He prayed before everything in His life. There are several Scriptures which show Him rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed. (Mark 1:35)

The author of the Book of Hebrews give this account about prayer life of the Lord, '' who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear, Heb 5:7''. This proves that our Lord lived a life of prayer, He humbled Himself to the Father, with loud cries and tears and His prayers were answered because of His godly fear.

In the epistles of Apostle Paul, he insisted that we should pray for all Christians everywhere every time we stand in prayers. Apostle Peter said whatever you may going through right now; be sure that there is another Christian in the other part of the world going through the same experience like you.(1 Peter 5:9)

This morning, God wants you to remember praying for saints during your prayer sessions. You need to know that if you pray for saints, you will pray for the body of Jesus Christ which is the Church of Jesus Christ in this world. If you let the Spirit of God lead you praying in heavenly language; He will be using you to pray for protection, prosperity, healing, miracles, reconciliation, deliverance, ministries, the Gospel and many more things for His saints.

If you pray for the Church, you will increase the influence and strength of the Church to stand against the snares of the enemy. You will be praying for backslider to be able to stand, repent and continue in their journey of salvation. You will be praying for ministers, preachers, teachers, apostles, prophets, miracle-doers, faith-healers, evangelists and pastors to do their work with confidence.

Don't sit down and think that your prayers won't do anything. Don't let the enemy lie to you that the hour which you will take to pray for the Church won't bring any impact. You are one of the members in the body of Christ; so any prayer that you will pray will bring forth immeasurable impact in the Church, start today.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord help me to remember praying for saints in the body of Christ in my prayers. Help me to make it a priority while I know my part to participate in the body of Christ. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
