Morning with Ebenezer

LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

Deuteronomy 6:4-7 NKJV

God commanded Moses to teach the sons of Israel the right way they should follow that they may prosper. Moses stood up and said these words to the congregation of Israel,'' “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. He continued by insisting them to pass everything which they were commanded to the generations after them.

Moses encouraged them to keep these words in their hearts, to teach them to their children, and to talk of them when they sit in their houses, when they walk on the road. Talk about them when they lie down and when they get up.  Tie them on their hands and wear them on their foreheads that they may remember his teachings. Moses wanted them to walk in godly atmosphere that they may prosper in the land which God has given them.

It is the same in our days, those people who keep the word of God. Teach it and walk by it, they always prosper in this life. These are people who love the Lord with all of their hearts, who are committed for the work of ministry and who spend their time and money for the Gospel. These are what we call prosperous people in the body of Christ. They walk in the favor of the Lord because they have submitted everything in their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ.

This morning, God wants you to know that true prosperity will come in your life; if you will put Him to be the first in everything. He commanded Joshua that he should always remember what is written in that book of law. To speak about that book and study it day and night. Then to be sure to obey what is written there. Then He promised Him, if he will do this, he will be wise and successful in everything he does. (John 1:8)

May this be your prayer, Love the LORD, O my soul: all that is within me, love his holy name. Love the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Teach your heart to love Him, worship Him and praise Him with your lips. Make it an agenda to love Him with all that is within you and to make sure to teach about Him to the generation not yet born.

****Morning Prayer****
Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for sending your Son to die for my sins. Lord today I want to commit myself to love you with all of my heart, with all of my soul, and with all of my strength. Give me strength to proclaim all what you have done for me to my generation and the generations not yet born. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
