LIVING WATER

On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.

John 7:37-39 NIV

Man that is born of a woman has many desires which he needs to see fulfilled in his lifetime. In every stage of development of a person, there is constant desire to get more and more in life. There is thirst in a man which can not be filled with anything.

Jesus talked about the living waters first in the fourth chapter of the book of John. Jesus asked a Samaritan woman for a drink, and the woman replied by saying,''“You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans). Then Jesus answered her by saying, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”(John 4:7-10)

Then Jesus continued by saying, ''“Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life,(ve.13-14).” Jesus meant that the Holy Spirit will fulfill all the desires which the heart of man needs.

This morning, God whats you to know that His Spirit can fulfill all the desires of your heart. If you are filled with the Spirit of God, rivers of living water will flow from inside of you. This living water will heal others, brings life and light to the world.

There is contentment in the Holy Spirit, there is joy which no man can explain. You will experience a love of God which no woman can offer, there is peace which even money and wealth can not bring. Earnestly desire to have the infilling power of Holy Spirit in your life and you will work in victory always.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your word. Let Your living water flow over my soul,

Let your Holy Spirit come and take control Of every situation that has troubled my mind, All my cares and burdens on to you I roll. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
