Morning with Ebenezer

HE UNDERSTANDS HOW YOU FEEL

I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.

John 14:16-17 NASB

Holy Spirit is the person, He can love, hate, feel, rejoice, grieved and and quenched. He loves those who love Him and those who seeks Him diligently will one day find Him. Since He is the third person of Holy Spirit, He has characters which a individual person can have.

When the Lord said He will come to help us, He meant that the Spirit will understand all things which we are going through and able to help us to overcome them. He knows how you feel, He was inside of Jesus and He knew exactly how Jesus felt. 

When Jesus felt compassion of the multitude and did miracles before them; it was the Spirit of God who felt what Jesus did and gave Him power to do those miracles. Jesus was one percent a man but in the mean time because He was full of the Spirit of God, He was one percent God too. 

This morning, God wants you to start your day by sharing with the Spirit of God everything which grieve your soul. He is the person who you can listen to, He is the friend who you can trust. He is the relative who can not betray you, He is closer to you than your own heart.

You may be asking yourself how can I share things with someone who I can not see or even feel? The Bible says without faith it is impossible to please God. What you need is to have faith that the Spirit of God lives in you. Start by saying words like Good morning Holy Spirit, Hi the Spirit of God, I welcome you in my heart, may you please come that we may talk.

When you say those kinds of words, start sharing all that makes you sad. Tell Him about people who take you for granted, things which you struggle to forgive. Share with Him about all bad memories which kept on roaming in your mind. Then ask Him for advice and that He may talk to you. If you will need to go somewhere this morning, just ask Him to go with you and tell Him you will continue with your discussion later and He will understand and wait for you.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Jehovah God, I thank You for your word. Lord I'm asking that You may give me the grace of hearing your Spirit. Help me to have faith that He is with me and He understands all hardships which I face in this life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
