LEARN TO HEAR FROM INSIDE

 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

John 16:13 NIV

God spoke with the people in the Old Statement through different ways. One day He called Elijah to the mountain, and the Lord passed by, then a great and strong wind tore the mountains apart and broke the rocks in pieces before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind.

After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire a still small voice. God spoke with Elijah in a still small voice that day. This was the prophecy that in the New Statement God will speak with people through a small still voice of Holy Spirit. (1 Kings 19:11-14)

There is a great advantage for people of God to learn to hear from inside of their spirits. The Holy Spirit is always giving basic instruction about this life and reveal secrets of God in our spirits. One of the work of Holy Spirit is to glorify Jesus in us. He glorifies Him in our spirits that we may understand the work of Jesus on the cross and His all plan of salvation.

This morning, God wants you to start learning to hear the voice of Holy Spirit inside your soul. If you will start listening to Holy Spirit from inside, your life is going to change. You will no longer depend on advice from friends who have mislead you all those years. You will not follow the ways of your parents which have proved failure and caused the whole family to go against the will of the Lord.

The Holy Spirit will teach you all the truth you need to know about the Gospel. He will reveal the things yet to come to you if you will be attentive to listen to His voice. He will tell you which people you need to associate with and the ones you need to stay away from.

He will help you make sound decisions, and alert you before evil come in your way. He will teach you to love God, to love your neighbor as yourself and to walk in honest and purity. He will help you to understand your purpose in life and give you strength to go after it. You will learn to forgive those who once hurt you and pray for them that they may know this great God who we are serving.

Jehovah God, I thank You for your word. Lord help me learn to hear from inside, help me to understand your voice and obey it accordingly. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
