WHY DID YOU FORGET?

Does a young woman forget her jewelry? Does a bride hide her wedding dress? Yet for years on end my people have forgotten me.

Jeremiah 2:32 NLT

Once,twice or more in life, all of us found ourselves begging God to do somethings in our lives. Some of us, we needed a certain kind of job so much, and we promised God to serve Him faithful when we will get it and that we will give offerings and pay all tithes. The time came and God gave us that job, and we started receiving our paychecks but we forgot everything.

You said when God give you a husband, you will not miss fellowship or choir; but when God gave you that man, you spent all day before the mirror that you many look pretty. Some ministers said if God will give them good number of people in their churches, they will help those who are in need and make sure that the Gospel will go forward through the offerings which people will give. God gave them what they desired, but they forgot and now they are using those money in buying fancy cars and make their names known to people but not God's.

The sons of Israel had made covenant with God, they promised Him that they will obey all His commandments and statues. Through the years, they forgot what they had promised, they started worshiping gods and committing sexual immorality with women from other nations. They allied with the nations which God did not want them to associate with; and their priests and prophets spoke false visions and dreams which did not come from God.

This morning, God is asking you why have you forgot Him? You said if He will do somethings in your life, you will make sure that you will do something for His kingdom. But God has give you all those things which you desired, and yet you have forgot to do what you promised Him. And when things get difficult, you start crying why God has forgotten you.

Look back, remember and fix what has been broken in your path. God wants you to remember what you have promised Him, and do exactly as you said you will do. God has not finished with you yet, If He will prove you to be faithful in this small area which you are in life. Surely I tell He will set you in a safe [spacious; open; broad] place and trust you with many things.[Psalm 18:19]

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord please forgive me for forgetting what I said I will do for you. Lord I'm asking you to help me to be faithful for this small have now, that one day you may trust me with many. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
