PRAYER OF FAITH
Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.
James 5:13-15 NIV
Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. There are different troubles which we face in our daily life from starting family level to the place of work. Here the Apostle James teaches that we should pray for every trouble or suffering which we face. If we find ourselves unhappy, he teach that we should sing songs of praise, sing psalms. When we start singing, we caught the attention of God to come down and listen to our praises! And when He comes, things will never be the same.
Is anyone of among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. Anoint that person with olive oil; anointing probably indicates dedicating or setting aside the person to God’s care; Mark 6:13. That prayer which offered by faith will make that person well, and he will be forgiven of whatsoever he has sinned.
Here Apostle James covered different areas where prayer can be applied and bring forth results in the life of a person. If you having burden of thoughts in your mind, heaviness in your heart, if you are in need of physical healing and spiritual salvation. You can get the answers of all of these and solutions of them through the prayer of faith which you can offer to God through Jesus Christ.
This morning, God wants you to pray for anything which you need to see His hand move on your favor. If it is the area of finance, God can supply all of your needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19. If you have questions about what your future will hold, how things will look like? The Bible says, I say this because I know what [the plans] I am planning for you,” says the Lord. “I have ·good plans for you [plans for your peace/security], not plans ·to hurt you [for your harm]. I will give you hope and a good future. Jer 29:11
Have faith, pray by faith. God will answer your prayer. God will respond to your faith, He will answer you according to what You have believed Him to do for you. God is waiting for you to respond in prayer of faith. Behold, He is the Lord, the God of all flesh; is there anything too hard for Him? Jer 32:27.
