STAND UP FOR YOURSELF
So let’s not get tired of doing
what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we
don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good
to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.
Galatians 6:9-10 NLT
The Bible teaches us to do
good to all people and to treat everyone right whenever we have the opportunity.
Unlikely other religion that teaches their followers to hate their enemies our
Bible teaches us to love our enemies.
In our daily walk with the
Lord, some people may take advantage of us when they see we are good to them.
They may tend to leave every heavy burden to us and even offend us purposely
expecting that we will end up forgiving them. There are some Christians who are
being bullied in the work place; because they are too humble even to stand for
themselves.
The Bible says Moses was a
very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth, Numbers
12:3. Although Moses was humble but he knew to stand for himself and stand for
his nation of Israel. He didn't allow anyone to intimidate him and take
advantage of his good heart and humbleness.
This morning, I want to
encourage you to continue doing good to people; but also learn to stand up for
yourself, and stand for the truth of the Gospel. Read the Scriptures, and engage
yourself in serious prayers; that you may practice the authority that you have
given in Christ. Don't let people toss you around with their different
ideologies; but make sure you know your position in Christ.
You need to treat everyone
right as the Bible teaches us; but make sure that you are not bullied or being
taken advantage. Ask God to give you wisdom that you may know how to treat each
person in your life and answer them in a right way.
****Morning Prayer****
Pray this prayer with me by
faith and God is going to answer your prayer....
Dear Heavenly Father, I give
myself to You. Give me wisdom that I may know how to treat and answer everyone
who comes in my life according to your will. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
