Morning with Ebenezer

LOVE

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NIV

In this chapter 13 of the Book of Second Corinthians Paul talks about love. In verse four He talks about the characters of love, the love which he was talking about is the love of God in us. This love is patient, like the way God is patient with us. It does not envy meaning it is never jealous; it is not proud, or boastful.

Love does not dishonor others, this means that if you have the love of God in you; you will respect all people regardless their status in life. It is not self-seeking, in other words it is not selfish and rude. It is not easily angered, as the Bible says, "Do not hasten in your spirit to be angry, for anger rests in the bosom of fools, Ecclesiastes 7:9.

This love of God does not keep any record of wrongs, but we always struggle in this area of forgetting people who hurt us in the past. This love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. The true love of God will always support the truth no matter what the cost, and it will never support any kind of evil.

This morning, I want to encourage you to ask the Lord to fill you with His love.  If you love someone, you will be loyal to him no matter what the cost. You will always believe in him, always expect the best of him, and always stand your ground in defending him. This kind of love is from God Himself; is the love that Jesus had shown us there on the cross.

This love of Jesus never fails, it always comes back to save a lost man from himself. It is the love that will remain forever after everything has passed away. If you have the love of Christ in you, you will always treat others like the way they ought to be treated in life and God will bless you.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I'm asking that You may help me to love others like the way Jesus loved me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
