PARENTS
In those days they shall no
longer say:
“‘The fathers have eaten sour
grapes,
and the
children's teeth are set on edge.’
Jeremiah 31:29 ESV
We have people in the body of
Christ who grew up while hating what their parents did for them. They hated the
way they acted, the way they treated others and the way they responded to
problems that came in their ways.
Most of these people swore
that they won't become like their parents. They tried their best to stay far
from all things that they believed will take them in the same path that their
parents took. The time came and they became adults, and they started seeing
that they are walking in the same direction that their parents did.
They find themselves
committing the same mistakes, and slowly they started to become what they hated
most in their lives. They became the copy of what they once swore they won't
ever become. If you have experienced this, or you have seen someone who is
struggling in this area. Then you need to learn that this does not happen by
accident; but there is something in the spiritual realm that is needed to be
broken in order for you to be set free.
This morning, ask God in the
name of Jesus that He may break every chain that has been connecting you with
the spirits that has controlling your family tree. It may be possible that
there are demons that have been assigned to make sure each member of your
family ends up in the same fate as the previous ones. That's why you may find a
single family struggling with the same sin or weaknesses generation after
generation.
Jesus is the only one who can
break those wicked behaviors in your life. If you are struggling with a certain
addiction; He is the only one who can give you strength to overcome it and set
you free. You can't fight that battle with your own strength; you need to
surrender to Jesus. You need to surrender to the Master and ask for His help;
He will deliver you that you that you may praise His name.
****Morning Prayer****
Pray this prayer with me by
faith and God is going to answer your prayer....
Dear Father, I'm coming
before You in the name of Jesus. Lord I'm breaking any trend of behaviors
that I had seen in my parents that is starting to appear in me. I refuse to
commit the same sins that my parents did in the name of Jesus. Set me free from
every curse that is in my family, and help me to grow and be like You. In
Jesus' Name, Amen.
