GOD'S CHILDREN
For his Holy Spirit speaks to
us deep in our hearts and tells us that we really are God’s children. And since
we are his children, we will share his treasures—for all God gives to his Son
Jesus is now ours too. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his
suffering. Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will give
us later.
Romans 8:16-18 TLB
If you have received Jesus as
the Lord and Savior of your life; I'm sure the Spirit of God has been
witnessing inside of you that you are a child of God. He speaks to us in a
small still voice insuring us that we have been forgiven and our sins have been
forgotten.
This gives us assurance that
we are in a good terms with our Lord Jesus Christ. Since we are God's children
the Bible teaches us that we are co-heirs with Christ; if indeed we share in
his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. In other words if
they mistreated Christ when he was in the flesh, they will mistreat you and me
also.
If they hated Christ, then
you need to be sure that they will hate you too because of your faith in Him.
You need to be comforted for the fact that after you have done the will of God;
you will share the treasures of God that are in Christ Jesus. What you suffer
and experience now, is nothing compared to the glory of God that will be
revealed for you later.
This morning, I want to
encourage you to be patient in sufferings while you look on Jesus who is the
founder and perfecter of our faith. Stop looking on how people
describe your faith in Christ Jesus. Stop listening on the words of the people
who don't know God; but keep focusing on what the word of God says about you.
The Lord won't allow for you
to be tempted beyond what you can endure. He will strengthen you in sufferings
and give you a door of escape. There are better things ahead of you; God has
prepared the eternal life for you. Don't lose all what God has prepared for you
by choosing to live the life according to the traditions of people who don't know
God. Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, and lean not on your own
understanding; in all your ways submit to him, he will make your paths
straight, Proverbs 3:5-6.
****Morning Prayer****
Pray this prayer with me by
faith and God is going to answer your prayer....
Dear Father, I desire to do
your will in my life. Help me to do it that I may inherit the kingdom that You
have been prepared all those who love You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
