Morning with Ebenezer

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

John 8:12 NIV

Apostle John, the disciple whom Jesus loved; wrote some amazing books in the New Testament that have been inspiring us until this day. He said these words, "This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all, 1 John 1:5.

Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. John the Apostle saw that light during three and half years that he spent with Jesus. He saw that light transforming the lives of people and deliver people from the chains of darkness that hold them for years.

He took that light to the world, by preaching the Gospel everywhere he went and that light kept on transforming lives of many. The light revealed to him things that will happen at the end of the world; and he wrote the final book of the Bible the book of Revelation. The book of Revelation explained God's final plan to humanity; and showed the hidden mysteries of what will happen after the end of this present life.

This morning, I want to encourage you to follow the light. Jesus is the light and in Him there is no darkness at all. If you want to live a victorious life and overcome every power of darkness then you need to live and remain in the light. If you still have things which you do in the darkness then you need to let them go that you may belong to the light.

Jesus is the light that the darkness cannot comprehend; He is the light of the world. He will show you which path in life you should take; and He will make known the things yet to come in your life through His Spirit. Start this day by putting your trust in Him; and know that He will help you handle all things that will come in your way.

Dear Heavenly Father, I'm asking that You may shine your light over all dark places in my life. Lord I desire to walk in the light, help me walk in it all the days of my being. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
