Morning with Ebenezer

HIS PEACE

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

Colossians 3:15 NIV

This Scripture is applied to those who are in Christ, people who have been born again. Those people who have been born of the water, the Spirit and the blood. They have given their lives to Christ, and surrendered their wills to God. These people have been given the right to be called children of God; who are walking in the peace of Christ.

You can't be ruled by the peace of Christ if you don't have Christ in you. The Bible teaches us to let the peace of Christ control our thinking, decision making and our lives in total. This peace will help us to answer all questions that arise in our minds concerning the things of God and things of this world.

Sometimes we find ourselves in different dilemmas of life. There are those questions that many young people asks themselves when it comes to choose a better half. Sometimes outside appearances can deceive that's why we need God to show us who is right for us. One of the things that God will give you if He wants you to end up with someone is His peace. He will give you a go ahead inside your soul; and you won't have peace if that person was not created for you.

This morning, ask the Lord to help differentiate His peace from other peace which this life can give. If you study, work hard and accumulate enough wealth; you will have peace of mind knowing that you will live a comfortable life. But having wealth, good education or achieving your goals in life can't bring you the peace of Christ.

Jesus said in John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." And Paul encouraged us not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, and present our requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I'm asking your may cover my heart with your peace. Lord let your peace control my thinking, my decision making and my life as a whole. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
