Morning with Ebenezer

TREAT PEOPLE EQUALLY

When an alien lives with you in your land, do not mistreat him. The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native-born. Love him as yourself, for your were aliens in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

Leviticus 19:33-34 NIV

God instructed the children of Israel to treat fairly all the aliens who were living among them. He commanded them to treat foreigner as one of their native-born. They should love him as themselves, for they were also strangers in the land of Egypt.

The children of Israel knew how it’s like to be a stranger in the foreign land. They knew how it feels for someone to mistreat you; because you are not from the same origin or race. God instructed them not to do the same; because it wound make other people feel bad.

We have Christians who are living with housemaids. Sometimes they treat them different from the way they treat their own. They praise Jesus before other people; but they don't show the love of Jesus before their housemaids. They don't appreciate what their workers do for them instead they treat them like slaves.

This morning, I want to challenge you to start treating other people like the way you want to be treated. Don't favor people because you share the same beliefs, race or economic status; treat everyone equally as the way Jesus would do. Treat people with dignity that they may witness the love of Christ that is in you.

If you will learn to treat people as your own, God will raise people who will treat as their own. If you will welcome people in your house; and make them to feel like they are in their own homes. God will touch people who will welcome you in their homes; and show you the same kindness that you showed others.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, forgive me for where I have treated others harshly. I will start treating everybody like the way I want to be treated. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
