Morning with Ebenezer

LEARN TO SERVE

Jesus called them together and said, “You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Mark 10:42-45 NIV

Our Lord Jesus Christ came to serve, not to be served, and to give His life as a ransom for many. He taught us on how we are supposed to walk with God by example of His own life. He taught us to love God with all of our hearts, and with all of our souls, and with our entire minds. He loved God, He loved His Father, and He became obedient to death, even death on a cross.

He taught us to love our neighbors as our own selves. He manifested this love for us by dying there on the cross and He took the punishment that brought us peace upon Himself. He manifested His love by healing people, set them free from the bondage of the enemy; and forgave the sins of many who humbled themselves before Him.

Jesus came to serve; He had a servant leadership like attitude. He gave us the formula of greatness, He said, "whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be firs must be slave of all."Pause a minute, and start reflecting your attitude in this area of serving others. Do you like to be served or you like to serve others? Do you put others first, or in everything you are putting yourself first?

This morning, I want to challenge you to learn to serve others. They way to greatness is different from the way many people think. If you want to be first in the kingdom of God, then you must be slave of all. If you have a calling of God in your life that is not a ticket for you to become a boss; but it’s a privilege for you to serve.

Apostle John says, "Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen, 1 John 4:20."Let's learn to read the word of God and put it into practices; if we real desire to see and experience God in our lives. Then we need to live according what the word of God teaches.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, forgive for where I had put myself first. Lord help me to put others first, and to learn to serve everyone who comes in my life like the way the Lord Jesus would do. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
