Morning with Ebenezer

LIVE FOR JESUS

For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people. Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves.

1 Peter 2:15-16 NIV

Maybe you have been ambushed by words from people who are against your faith. They have been making false predictions about your future, telling lies about your personal life and your stand with the Lord.

You may feel like you are the only one who experience that; but in the reality you are not the first one. Apostle Peter wrote to encourage us to do good that we may silent the ignorant talk of foolish people. People who wait to see us doing any wrongs that they may condemn us.

Then Apostle Peter continues by saying, " Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves." He instructs us not to abuse our freedom in Christ Jesus as a cover-up for evil. In other words by living a double life; calling ourselves Christians during a day and engage in the works of darkness during a night, but to live as God's servants in Christ Jesus.

This morning, I want to remind you to live for Jesus. If you have a double life this is a call for you to stop. Stop living a lie, start living for Christ. You will be judged according to your deeds; so you need to make sure that what you are doing right now is pleasing the Lord.

It is God's will for you to continue doing good in the area that He has put you. Wherever you are right now in life, there is a purpose of God for you to fulfill. Make sure you seek to know the purpose and fulfill it accordingly; knowing God will reward you according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus our Lord.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, help me to live according to your will. Help me to fulfill my purpose in my area of influence. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
