Morning with Ebenezer

WHY WON'T HE FLEE?

But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:

“God opposes the proud
but shows favor to the humble.”
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

James 4:6-7 NIV

Have you ever asked yourself this question, ''You're resisting the Devil, so why won't he flee?''. The Bible says God opposes the proud, but shows favor to the humble. We all have a measure of pride in our carnal nature. This pride if it not be dealt properly may be one of the causes of ineffectiveness in our prayer life.

We can't drive demons and have success in the spiritual warfare if we are disobeying the Word of God in any area, whether it's walking in pride or some other sin. The Spirit of God will keep on witnessing inside of us, if we walk in pride and move us to repent.

If we see any sign of pride and don't cry out for the grace of humility, we're walking in nothing other than disobedience. If we are walking in disobedience it means we are living in the flesh. Flesh and blood has no match for the devil. We need the power of Holy Spirit to back up our authority in Christ that we may become victorious in spiritual warfare.

This morning, I just want to remind you that before you start resisting the devil, examine your heart, and take time to repent before God and ask for His leading. Then start praying while you made sure that there is nothing which can give enemy a chance to prevent you getting your answers from God.

The devil will flee far from your life, if you will learn to walk in obedience before God. If you will be humble before Him, you will have effective prayer life. You will see the answers of your prayers and you won't struggle like everybody else because your spirit will be in the total submission before God.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I repent of the time I walked in pride before You. Please forgive me and help me to be humble before You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
