CALL THE NAME OF JESUS

But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”

 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.  But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!”

Mark 4:38-41 NKJV

There is power in the name of Jesus; this is the only name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. The devil and his armies can't stand the power of this name; they flee with great fear when this name is mentioned. Through this name we have all the victory we need to conquer sin and all the matters of this life.

Many people have underestimated the power of the name of Jesus in this world which we are living right now. Many use it just like any other name and it has been so common in their lips in such a way it has no effect for those who hear it. But in the reality there is unstoppable power in this name which can bring forth unimaginable effects for those who believe.

Paul give this account about the name of Jesus,'' Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:9-11)

This morning, God wants you to call the name of Jesus in your situation. Maybe you have done all things in your power, asked all advice which you can get; but you haven't tried calling Jesus in the middle of your storm. In the middle of the storm when His disciples called His name, He woke up and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace, be still!

If the wind and the sea obeyed Him, be sure that your storm will obey Him too! At the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Call the name of Jesus today and He will come to meet your needs.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. In the name of Jesus I speak to my storm, I command it to be calm from this day. Lord Jesus may your peace be still in me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
