ABIDE IN LOVE
Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
John 15:13 NIV
Apostle John is called the Apostle of love despite of other names such as John immortal and John the revelator. In His three letters to the believers in Western Asia Minor; he tried to insist the importance of love among the believers and insisted that God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.( 1 John 4:7)
One day Mother Teresa said when it comes to giving: “It's not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.” One day one minister who God was using in the ministry of healing and deliverance told me the secret behind his success in ministry was love. He said if you will first love a person who is sick or possessed with the demons; it will be easily for you to minister to that person.
The love in you will put you in his/her position and draw that godly compassion which was in Jesus and allow the Spirit of God to perform the miracle. God will work freely in a place where there is love; if you give with love what you gave will come back to you. If you pray with love that prayer will somehow find its way to come back to you.
This morning, God wants you to reconsider your love for Him and His people. Do you love God as the way you used to do? Do you treat the people of God right as you are supposed to do? Are you good outside when you are with others but mistreating the people of your own household?
Do you love your spouse as the way Bible commands; do you love the ministries of the Gospel and spend a quality time praying for them and supporting their ministries? There are many things which you can ask yourself and test yourself before the mirror of love but the important thing is to continue abiding in love until when the Lord comes.
****Morning Prayer****
Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....
JEHOVAH God, I thank You for your Word. Lord please help me to walk and live in love; that I may love you Lord with all of my heart, soul and strength, and love my neighbor as myself. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
