Morning with Ebenezer

PRAYING FOR LORD'S PEOPLE

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.  Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

Ephesians 6:18-20 NIV

The Bible teaches us to pray in the Spirit (Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues) on all occasions. Pray with all kinds of prayers, and ask for everything we need. To do this we must always be ready, and never give up praying for all the Lord's people (saints, God’s consecrated people).

We were given the ministry of intercession by the Lord through His Spirit when we were born again but not the ministry of finger pointing! There is a tendency of people in the body of Christ judging people before the day of judgement. We always have our lists of the people whom we think please God and will go to heaven; while we have the lists of the people who we think they just escorts.

Then we tend to blame ministers of the Gospel that they don't have anointing; they just teaching us the same things which they taught last year in short they bore us during services. Paul asked the Church of Ephesus to pray for him, that when he speak God would give him words that he can tell the secret of the Gospel without fear. The question for us, are we living these scriptures?

This morning, God wants you to put intercession for His people and His servants the priority in your walk with Him. I have learned that the solution of preventing finger pointing spirit to have control over us is intercession. If you will learn to carry people in prayers, you will have no time to point their weakness but cover them by the blood of Jesus.

We would be having less and no scandals at all from men and women of God; if the church would learn to cover them by the blood of Jesus at all times. We need to understand that these men and women of God who we see as our spiritual leaders; face great battles against the enemy for our spirits. They fight day and night that we may continue walking and living in victories.

We need to remember they are humans just like us. They face the same challenges which we face; they are being tempted just like all of us. They are living in the body of sin just like us, so we need to cover them by the blood of Jesus. In order that they may continue ministering to us and reveal the secret of the Gospel for the Church of God.

****Morning Prayer*****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord forgive me the time I finger pointed your people and servants in your Kingdom. Help me to start praying for them from now on, helping them where I can and give myself and what I have in support of the Gospel. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
