Morning with Ebenezer

IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL

God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.
 Therefore we will not fear,
Even though the earth be removed,
And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though its waters roar and be troubled,
Though the mountains shake with its swelling.

Psalm 46:1-3 NKJV

In the 1870s, Spafford was a very successful lawyer in Chicago and heavily invested in real estate. In 1871, the great Chicago fire destroyed all his downtown investment properties.

In 1873, Spafford and his wife Anna planned a trip to Europe. At the last minute, an urgent business matter arose and Spafford could not leave. He sent his wife and four daughters ahead aboard the steamer Ville du Havre and planned to join them soon.

In the few hours of the morning on November 22, 1873, the Ville du Havre collided with an iron sailing ship. Anna survived but their four daughters perished. When Anna arrived in Cardiff, Wales, she telegraphed her husband, "Saved alone....''

With a heavy heart, Spafford boarded a boat that would take him to his grieving Anna in England. It was on this trip that he penned those now famous words, When sorrow like sea billows roll; it is well, it is well with my soul..

This morning, I want to encourage you that no matter what you are passing through in life right now, it will be well. God allows some things to happen in our lives that we may see His power working in us during our difficult times in life. You will never understand that God can provide for your needs unless you will be in need and God will come to provide for you.

There are some moments which God allows in our lives; that He may see how we will stand in faith during those times. Like the way a teacher is silent during a test, likewise when God permits tribulations to come to test us; sometimes He tends to be silent that He may see how much we will score during those tests.

Continue standing in faith, trust God with your life. There is no problem which God can not solve. There is no disease which God can not heal. There is no broken relationship which God can not restore. There is no wounds which God can not mend. It will be well with your soul, you will get out of whatsoever you are facing just keep your trust in God.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. I know you will fight for me and all things will work together for good to me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
