And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”
Mark 11:26 NIV
There are some of us who are living with bad memories in our hearts for years now. Some things happened to us when we were children but they are still hurting us like just it was yesterday. Every time we remember them, the deep pain rises in us and we wish we could do something but there is nothing to do hence the suffering continues.
Forgiving is a crucial thing for any Christian who wants to go to heaven. The Bible says when we stand to pray, if we hold anything against anyone, we should forgive them, so that our Father in heaven may forgive us our sins. This means one of the key to get answers in prayers is forgiving those who longed us.
Forgiving people who hurt us, do not make them right but it sets us free. Your freedom will come the day you will decide to forgive. No matter what they did to you, continue holding them inside does not do you a favor but it just cause more pain in you. You won't change what happened to you in the past but you can change what you need to see in you in the future.
This morning, God wants you to forgive that you may be forgiven. God wants you to be able to unlock the answers of your prayers; but He needs you to forgive because forgiveness is a key of getting your answers. Letting go of someone inside of you, will force Satan to let go the blessings which he has been holding them all this time because of your unforgiveness.
If you want to see God in a new dimension of grace, you need to learn to forgive, let it go and forget. Don't continue keeping that burden within you, surrender it to Jesus and let Him to do the rest. What He needs to hear from you is your genuine decision of forgiving someone today.
