For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father [of Eternity], Prince of Peace.

There some of us who don't know the actual taste of having a Father.Some our fathers died while we were still very young and we did not know them, others we were raised by single mothers after they separated with our biological fathers. There are other group of people who had fathers but those fathers abused them and they reached a point where they say if this is how all fathers are, it's better not to have one.
When you mention the word father, each one of us can have his own mental picture on how he can describe father according to his own experience. Here the Bible talks about an Everlasting Father, the word Everlasting means lasting forever,eternal or we can say never coming to an end. This is how Jesus is to us.
The Bible says that God is the,''Father to the fatherless, defender of widows--this is God, whose dwelling is holy, Psalm 68:5 NLT''. God is a Father to the fatherless(orphans), God is the defender of widows. God is a Father of every living creature on this earth. He is the one who provide food for them all, He sends His Spirit and give them breath, life is created, and He renew the face of the earth.Psalm 104:30
This morning, God wants to reveal Jesus as the Everlasting Father to you. He wants you to know that no matter you have experienced in life. Jesus can restore and make you His son and daughter in His Father's Kingdom forever. God wants to be your Father, He wants you to start going before Him as the way a child goes before his Father.
God wants you to remove that picture in your mind, imagining God as the great monster to be feared by all mankind. God is the God who forgives, He the God who restores and heal all wounds of the past. Open your heart to His Fatherly love through Jesus Christ, He will change your life, take care of you like the way Father takes care of his child; and He will be your Father now and to the age to come.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....
Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord am asking that You may be my Father from this day, I repent all my sins and my wrong doings, I want to be your child. I surrender all my life into your hands, may your will be done into me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
