Morning with Ebenezer

A JEALOUS SPIRIT

Two men, Eldad and Medad, had stayed behind in the camp. They were listed among the elders, but they had not gone out to the Tabernacle. Yet the Spirit rested upon them as well, so they prophesied there in the camp. A young man ran and reported to Moses, “Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp!”

Joshua son of Nun, who had been Moses’ assistant since his youth, protested, “Moses, my master, make them stop!”
But Moses replied, “Are you jealous for my sake? I wish that all the Lord’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put his Spirit upon them all!”

Numbers 11:26-29 NLT

A jealous spirit is one of the leading spirits of Satanic world which are called strong men. Psychologists are quick to tell us that jealousy is a natural human emotion, but if you examine Scripture, you will discover that in most cases it is a demon.

When the Spirit of the Lord came upon Eldad and Medad in the camp and they started prophesying, Joshua son of Nun, asked Moses to stop them. But Moses replied,“Are you jealous for my sake? I wish that all the Lord’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put his Spirit upon them all!” Moses rebuked Joshua, and showed him that when we come to the things of God; it was best for all of us to have good relationship with our Father like what Moses had.

Many of us in one way or another have encountered this state of insecurity inside of us. We have felt jealous for our neighbors, fellow ministries, co-workers, fellow students and even our spouses. This spirit of jealousy divides, separates and sabotages homes, churches, relationships and business. The spirit of jealousy also manifests itself through other demon spirits, such as the spirit of suspicion, anger, rage, revenge, and even murder.

This morning, God wants to set us free from this spirit. Most of us have been treating jealous inside of us as the normal human emotion, but this spirit has made us to live in fear, envy, unworthiness and  inferiority because of the success of others. God has a plan for each one of us, if he has allowed your neighbor to succeed in one area more than you; it simply means he has something in store for you too.

It is about time for you to start asking God to set you free from a jealous spirit. If you will treat  jealousy such as other spirit and start rebuking it in the Name of Jesus, you will free yourself from that bondage.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I rebuke the spirit of jealousy inside of me in the Name of Jesus. I free myself from the bondage of jealousy, and I'm believe for the outpouring of your love inside of me. In Jesus Name, Amen.
