Morning with Ebenezer

BLESS THE LORD

Bless the Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercies,
Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Psalm 103:1-5 NKJV

Christians are required to bless the Lord and bless His holy name in their lives. If you are a born again and filled Spirit Christian then you understand what the Lord sacrificed that you may get your freedom. The Bible teaches us that the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5b)

He took the punishment for you and me, He then forgave our sins, healed our bodies and create in us a clear heart that we may worship Him in the Spirit and truth. He did many miracles in our lives; He carried us from our humble beginning and blessed our ways. He fought with those who fought against us and rebuked the devil out of our lives.

He redeemed us from the curses of our families, tribes and nations; and made us sons and daughters in the kingdom of His Father. He taught us how to pray through the power of His precious Spirit and cause us to walk in peace. The Lord has done many things in our lives and we ought to thank Him daily for His loving-kindness.

This morning, I want to encourage you to take a moment and bless the Lord for all of His goodness. Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! These were the words of Psalmist David; He blessed the Lord for all what He did for Him. He took Him from being a shepherd and made Him the king of Israel.

I believe God had done many things for you and your family. Many times we complain for what we don't have and forget to thank God for what He has done for us. We need to develop an attitude of thanking Him for whatever we have in life right now. Work hard for what we desire to have some day while we allow God to take us glory to glory as He desires in our lives.
