And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.
Romans 13:11-12 NIV
The word slumber means, to sleep, to be dormant, to pass time in sleep, or a state of inactivity or dormancy. As we know sleeping is not a bad thing especially during night hours after you have done all what you supposed to do during a day. But there what we call spiritual slumbering, or the state of being spiritual dormant. This can manifest itself in most of the people who call themselves Christian but who have been bound with religion and normal practice of their religious groups but not the leading of the Holy Ghost.
The Bible says the hour has come for us to wake up from our sleeping or dormancy, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. Their is a tendency in the Church of Christ of people to forget where the Lord brought them from and they just take for granted their salvation and forget that they need to stay in their watch [To look or observe attentively,continuously or carefully; be closely observant:] waiting for the Bridegroom who is Jesus Christ to come.
The sign which may indicate that you are in the slumbering mode in your life is this:- You will forget your first love[ the love you had for Jesus when you received Him], meaning what you felt before when you believed in Christ, those fellowship which you had with Him in your spirit, you did not go to bed without reading the Word, you wanted the whole world to know about Jesus and you repented immediately when you noticed a sin in your life. If those signs are no longer in your life and you won't feel the passion for the Gospel and the lost as before be that sure that their is dormancy in your spirit.
This morning God wants you to know that He is coming to take His bride who is a Church so soon. He needs you to stand on your watch by prayer, fasting and continue witnessing the Gospel to the lost that they may get to know God who you have already known. Stay away from sin, keep clean the robe of holiness in your life and trust God in everything while you know inside of you that all things works together for good to those who love God.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....
Heavenly Father, I thank You for another wonderful day. Lord am asking that you may forgive me for being so dormant in my life. Now am going against with the spirit of slumbering in my life in the Name of Jesus. I speak new beginning in my spiritual life and by faith I will do all things which God wants me to do in my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
