YOU HAVE LOST YOUR FIRST LOVE

I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; 3 and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. 4 Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.
Revelation 2:2-4 NKJV

There are some of us who since our youth we have been faithful to the Lord. We have walked step by step with Him, giving Him a first chance in everything we do. Many people who had seen us for years they know that we were willing to give up everything for just because of Him.

While we were walking with Him we faced traps, wars, persecutions, rejections and every kind of physical and emotional torture. These things built self defense in us, we started having warning alert in us, and we did not trust anybody. The self defense built selfishness inside of us, we started living the life of fear, and we started creating problems in our minds which were not there.

The Gospel changed in our mouths; we started preaching the Gospel of fear instead of the Gospel of peace. The devil had the better of us and made us to lose our first love which we had to the Lord. We lost the ability of loving people, we lost the ability of carrying their burdens, we created enemies in our minds and those people who we thought as our enemies when they wrong us we proved our false imagination.

You have lost your first love. The Bible says, ‘Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lamp stand from its place—unless you repent. (Rev 2:5). The Lord Jesus wants you to repent and to return to the first fellowship with Him, He knows the battle which your facing but remember He had already declared in His word that the battle is not yours but God's.(2 Chronicles 20:15)

Wake up from your sleep, the Lord is coming soon. You were chosen among many who were called to inherit the kingdom of God (Matthew 22:14). This is your time, this is your day! Remember the old good days and go to them once again and start walk in them. Knowing that love never fails, and love conquers everything including devil himself.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank you for your word. This morning, I am asking that you may forgive me for walking in aggressiveness instead of walking in love. Help me to return in my first love, that I may serve you Lord with gladness and the joy of my salvation. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
