Morning with Ebenezer

SECOND CHANCE

When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?”
 She said, “No one, Lord.”
And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”
John 8:10-11 (NKJV)

There was a woman in the days of Jesus who was caught in adultery, in very act. Pharisees and Scribes brought that woman to Jesus that they may stone her according to the Law of Moses. They did this that they may test Jesus and find something to accuse Him. Jesus stooped down and wrote something in the ground, they continued asking Him and finally he rose up and said “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.”

The Bible says, when they heard it, being convicted in their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last (John 8:1-11). The same Pharisees and Scribes who were in the time of Jesus are found today in our religions. There are some people who do not agree that in Jesus there is forgiveness of sins. Many of our mighty leaders in our tradition religion do not agree with the fact no one can see God without being born again of water and the Spirit.

It doesn't matter how sinner you are, no matter how many sins you have committed since your youth up to now. No matter how painful, shameful or horrible your sins were one word I know that God loves you. There is a second chance in Christ, even if now you are in your death bed diagnosis by dreadful disease still there is a chance for you. God can forgive your sins and start afresh with you; He forgave Saul who later becomes Paul the Apostle who was the killer and persecutor of the Church. He can also forgive you if you will give Him a chance to give you a second chance in your life.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear God, I thank you for the gift of salvation in my life. I surrender my life into your hands, forgive me, mend me and make me a new creature in you. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
