Morning with Ebenezer

FORGIVING HEART

Then He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come! It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”

Luke 17:1-4 NKJV

In life we will all get offended in one way or another. People will come that will cause us to stumble daily. The Bible says it is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through who they do come! The person who will cause other to stumble will be dealt with accordingly. God has His way to punish all of those who cause offenses to other people.

Then Jesus said, if your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, 'I repent,' you shall forgive him. Here Jesus was teaching us not to get tired forgiving others. He wanted us to know that offenses will always come in our way.

If we know we will be offended every now and then, then we need to learn to live with people of different personalities. We need to develop an art of understanding people and know that not all the offenses that come in our way are personal. There are some people ends up offending others; because they are hurting inside. They have things that bother them so they tend to bring their frustrations to other people.

This morning, I want to encourage you to ask God to give you a forgiving heart. We are in need of forgiving people in the body of Christ. We need people who will understand that each one of us can make mistakes and quickly forgive those who repent. God wants you to be that particular person. He wants you to be able to forgive without putting forward any conditions to people.

The world needs people who will be forgiving and merciful. There are too much people who tend to hold grudge and hate people with no reason. You can be a source of hope by giving people second changes by forgiving them without any conditions. We shall continue with this Series of Forgiveness tomorrow, God bless you!

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, create in me a forgiving heart, that I may be able to forgive quickly with no conditions at all. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
