Morning with Ebenezer

FEELING FORGOTTEN?

So Abram departed [in faithful obedience] as the Lord had directed him; and Lot [his nephew] left with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran.  Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his nephew, and all their possessions which they had acquired, and the people (servants) which they had acquired in Haran, and they set out to go to the land of Canaan.

Genesis 12:4-5 AMP

Maybe you are one of those people who have waited for something for a long time. You were once so excited to receive it; but now you have reached a point where you have given up hope that you will receive that thing again. Abram departed from his family when he was seventy-five years old. In other words he lived the first 74 years old being prepared to fulfill his purpose that started when he was 75.

We have sisters in the Church who kept themselves and waited for a good man to come around. They believed God in the first year, second, third, seventh, and at the result some of them now are in the tenth year and that brother hasn't come yet. These sisters used to speak those words of faith, like, “next year I will get married just wait and see”. Some even bought weeding gowns as the sign of faith before they even got the husband.

We have brothers who have been looking for good jobs that they may support their families. They went to school and they have good certificates; but they ended up settling for low paying jobs that they may make the ends meet. As time goes by you continue to be frustrated because it seems like God has forgotten you completely.

This morning, hear the word of the Lord, "God hasn't forgotten you". He will never leave you nor forsake you. He was with Abraham in his old age; He will be with you in all season of your life. If you have faith in Him, then the husband you have been waiting for will come. If you have faith in Him, that job you have believed God for, will come.

It doesn't matter how long you have been waiting for God to answer your prayers. I'm here to encourage you that soon very soon you will receive the answers to your prayers. God has heard your cries and He will come down to wipe away your tears. Do not give up on God, because He will not give up on you. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. We are going to continue with this Faith Series tomorrow by continue exploring the life of the Father of Faith, Abraham.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your word. Lord I'm asking that you may help me to wait on You. Wait for your promise knowing that You are faithful God; soon you will come to fulfill all what You have spoken over my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
