Morning with Ebenezer

HIS WORD

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT

Most of the time we like to read Scriptures that make us feel good and comfort us. This is the good thing, but sometimes we avoid reading those Scriptures that rebuke us and teach us what is true in this life.

Paul the Apostle wrote to His spiritual son Timothy that, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness." He wrote this to encourage him and us that we need to embrace the word of God as a whole. We need to learn each Scripture and apply it in our daily lives.

The same Bible that teaches us to pray, it also teaches us to work hard, treat each other right and love our enemies. The same Bible that teaches about Jesus, it teaches us about Holy Spirit and God the Father. So everything is important in the Scriptures, we need everything that we may reach the perfection in Christ Jesus.

This morning, I want you to know God is using His word to prepare you to reach where He destined you to be. When you read the word of God, read knowing that are the basic instructions you need that you may prosper in this life. Don't read it as story book but as you are listening to God Himself talking to you.

Everything that is written is profitable for you; it will change your life and make you whole. It will give you strength to overcome temptations and lead you to the straight path. It will comfort you in the time of troubles and give you hope that best is yet to come no matter what you are going through right now.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, help me to obey your word in all the days of my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
