Morning with Ebenezer

DO NOT BE TROUBLED

Now John answered Him, saying, “Teacher, we saw someone who does not follow us casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow us.”
But Jesus said, “Do not forbid him, for no one who works a miracle in My name can soon afterward speak evil of Me. For he who is not against us is on our side.
Mark 9:38-40 NKJV

Have you ever met a certain man of God, who does the work of God but many people say bad words concerning him? Some of us we have been troubled by such people of God, who preach the Word of God but they have many weakness in their lives.

The disciple of Jesus saw someone who did not follow them casting out demons in Jesus name and they were troubled. May be you have been troubled with someone who does the work of God but not believe in some things which you do believe or do not worship in the church which you are worshiping now.

Do not be troubled, Jesus said,' “Do not forbid him, for no one who works a miracle in My name can soon afterward speak evil of Me. For he who is not against us is on our side. This means whatever the weakness which you may find in a certain servant of God who does miracles; the Bible says if he does them in Jesus name that indicates he is in our side.

In the mean time, even if he does not worship in the same church with you; or he does not believe the same doctrines which you believe. Just know if he does all what he do in his ministry in the name of Jesus that means he is in our side so do not be troubled in you. Keep praying for him and God of mercy will lead him in the way He wants him to follow and God will bless you and all what you are doing in life.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, please forgive me for saying bad words concerning the ministries of your servants. Help me to have peace in what they do knowing they are doing for your kingdom. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

  1. This is a very important message brother. Not only we as the sheep of the Lord say bad things about each other and about servants of God, but even those who stand on pulpits say negative things about each other.

This makes the Church fail to obtain unity that would give us power over the enemy. The Bible shows clearly that God is not interested in uniformity but in unity in love.

We are members of the same body but we are different. We should pray for each other and be unified, not necessarily in doctrine, but certainly in Spirit. Be blessed.

  2. Thank you Brother James for your wonderful words. What you are saying is true because even we so call Preachers have engaged themselves in the work which the Lord did not call them for ; this is one of technique which the enemy is using against the church which I call it as,'divide and rule technique.

Jesus said the Kingdom which is divided itself cannot stand, Matthew 12:26. If us as the church will allow the enemy to divide us it will be very difficult for the power of God which we saw in the first church to work in us. May God help us to have the unity of the spirit regardless our doctrines difference.
