Morning with Ebenezer

IT KEEPS NO RECORD OF WRONGS

It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

1 Corinthians 13:5 NIV

Sometimes we tend to count wrongs things that people have done to us. Whenever they offend us we tend to add on the yesterday's wrongs. The Bible teaches us that love keeps no record of wrongs. It tends to forgive and let go of the past wrongs.

We have people in the body of Christ who have put list of wrongs that were done against them in their hearts. Maybe there are some people who hurt you in the past and until now you find yourself struggling to forgive them.

Keeping the record of wrongs is another form of unforgiveness. Love requires us to forgive everything and letting go all the past wrongs. It requires us to give people a second chance and benefit of doubt. Love requires us to understand people with their weaknesses and know that each one of us can change.

This morning, I want to encourage you to ask the Lord to help you that you may see the best in all people. You need to learn that people who offended you yesterday can end up being your best friends tomorrow. In one point or another in life love may requires us to forgive; if we truly walk in the love of God we will be willing to do so.

Start this day by letting go of your past wounds. Forgive someone today, talk to someone who you have not talk with for a while because you hold grudges against him or her. God will bless you and give you a peacefully and joyfully life.
