Morning with Ebenezer

My works before God

“And to the angel of the church in Sardis write,
‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God.
Revelation 3:1-2(NKJV)

There are many of us who are called good Christians, participating in many religious activities, having good record before our Pastors and people that we have been the good giver in our Christian’s communities and churches and in one way or another we have found ourselves being known by so many people by our active membership in our churches.

The Bible says that God knows your works, that you have the name that you are alive, but you are dead. You may be doing good things before the eyes of people but inside you know that your kindness is not out of love but it is out of the normal practices. Some of us are helping orphans, widows and unprivileged people but instead of returning the glory to our God who gave us the ability to do so, we found ourselves taking the whole credit in ourselves.

Jesus knows my works, Jesus knows your works. Our works are not perfect before Him, we need to retreat and start afresh doing what He has called us to do with a clean heart and do it out of love and at the end of the day letting Him to take all the glory and not take it by ourselves, letting Him to be known for His works in us but not us to be known than Him.

Jesus is coming soon, we need to do the work of God out of love that we may get the credit to inherit His Kingdom: If you are still in the dilemma not knowing what to do with your life now, its best chance to surrender your life to Jesus and let Him alone have control over your life from today to the rest of your days in this world.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I am coming before You by the blood of Jesus. Asking that You may forgive me for serving You out of normal practices but not out of love, help me today to do everything for Your glory and not for my personal ambitions. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
