Gate is a barrier like a door that is used to close an opening in a fence or a wall.Most of the cities in the Old Testament had gates which were used to connect their people to other areas.
When God said to Abraham that his descendants i.e Israel and all who will believe in Jesus, that will possess the gate of their enemies.
He meant, no man, no power, no demon, even the hell and the devil himself will be able to overcome Israel and all who will believe the work of Jesus on the cross.
Fear not, you were counted a winner from the beginning and Jesus died and rise again on the third day to guarantee that victory for you.
